ENGINEER, START UP & COMMISSIONING

Purpose of this position:

To ensure system within assigned functional scope is operable, in order to support achievement of section objectives in cost effective, safe and timely manner.

General Requirements:

• S1 Degree in Electrical or Mechanical with minimum 5 years working experience in heavy industrial and mining industry
• Familiar with related equipment (relay protection and switchgear high voltage for Electrical, rotating equipment for Mechanical/Piping).
• Knowledge of mining construction.
• Project Management.
• Other standards competencies.

General Responsibilities:

• Perform problem solving in assigned functional scope, in order to have a fit design regarding field condition and to meet all standard in safe and timely manner.
• Provide data, information and documents (i.e., final report) according to commissioning and start up component/equipment within assigned functional scope to support handover package.
• Perform pretest activities in the middle of ongoing project, in order to ensure within assigned functional scope is operable according to field conditions, cost effectiveness and safety issue.
• Perform commissioning of component/equipment and system test package in advance of start up of actual testing and documented the result as well.
• Identify and implement subordinate's development needs to enhance their capabilities.
• Guide, monitor and control the implementation of safety standards and procedures within work area to minimize accident and damage.

Key challenges in this position include:

• Deal with project complexity in time limited, broad area of work and high-risk installation.
• Technology transformations of system and or installation are fast.

Key areas in which you have decision-making responsibility are:

• Technical review on design or work procedures, including the decision on Field Change Notice (FCN) for assigned installation based on field inspection and testing.
• Perform a test of specific request within assigned installation area.
• Approve subordinate's leave request.
